AAMC ERAS Medical Residency (2.5×3.5 inch @ 150 DPI <150 KB) & State Bar Exam (AAMC ERAS / ECFMG / NCBE Bar Admissions) requires an exact dimension of 375 × 525 pixels (2.5 inch × 3.5 inch) at 150 DPI, with the file size strictly between 30 KB and 142 KB in JPEG format.
How do I convert my photo to 150 DPI and under 142 KB for ERAS Residency (2.5×3.5") & Bar?
Upload your photo in SpecSnap Studio above, align your face using the biometric eye-line guide, and click Download. SpecSnap injects a true binary 150 DPI JFIF header and binary-searches JPEG compression so the file is guaranteed to land between 30 KB and 142 KB without uploading your photo to any server.
Is Candidate Name and Date of Photo mandatory on the ERAS Residency (2.5×3.5") & Bar photograph?
Yes. ERAS Residency (2.5×3.5") & Bar guidelines require the candidate's full name and the date of taking the photograph printed clearly on a plaque at the bottom of the photo. SpecSnap automatically generates this plaque with today's date and allows you to toggle the 'DOP:' prefix on or off.

On-device processing
Crop, DPI header injection, and exact KB matching run in your browser with the Canvas API. SpecSnap does not receive, store, or transmit the original image.
No sign-in, no watermark
Downloads are unbranded. Closing the tab drops the working image from memory. We cannot recover a photo we never received.
Anonymous usage counters
Optional events record only country code, tool id, and language so we know which specs are used. No names, photos, filenames, IPs, or user-agents. Localhost Admin can export or clear counters.
What this browser may keep
A random session id, optional Admin spec overrides, and your last country or language. SpecSnap does not set advertising cookies and does not load third-party trackers for photos.
Your controls
Upload only what you choose. Clear this site’s data in the browser to wipe local counters and overrides. On a self-hosted copy, analytics files stay on that machine.
